Description of a rafting trip

— Rafting trips with no transport

You can come with your car to the picnic area “Luka” (FINISH), some seven kilometers from Omiš, where the organizer waits for you. There you can leave your vehicles.
From here you are transported by a van or a minibus to the starting point where skippers, equipment and boats already wait for you. Skippers give you some basic instructions about the trip and help you choose the suitable equipment.

Now, the rafting adventure can start and you can enjoy three hours of rafting on the nine kilometers long route of one of the most beautiful Croatian rivers where you can see rapids, waterfalls, caves and quiet parts of the river rich in flora and fauna. After the unforgettable adventure you can change your clothes at the finish point. If you want, it is possible to organize a meal in one of the local restaurants.
If you want to experience the rafting adventure on the Cetina River you do not need to be physically prepared or experienced. Children aged 7 – 12 can also experience this adventure but accompanied by their parents.

We reccomend you to take with you a bath suit, a short sleeves T-shirt, a pair of short pants and a pair of sneakers or sandals.
Rafting trips are organized everyday during the summer season (15 May – 15 September). The departure is everyday at 9am and 2pm in front of the travel agency Luka.

The price of a trip is 200 kunas (EUR 28) per person.

Children aged 7 – 12 have a reduction of 50 %.

The price includes: the rent of boats, all equipment (helmets, paddles, life jackets, wetsuits and shoes, if necessary), skippers, the insurance, free parking, the transport from the travel agency Luka to the starting point, a drink and a fruit meal.

You are picked up by a representative of the agency at the place of your stay. — Rafting as a team building

The organizer, in agreement with a team building consultant, adds some extra activities to a rafting trip in order to reach the goals of a team building. Certain exercises and obstacles should be passed on the rafting route in order to accomplish teamwork. After the rafting trip there is a meal in a local restaurant or a picnic in the nature

— Rafting and paintball as a whole day trip

A rafting trip is organized in the morning. After the trip follows a lunch in a local restaurant or in agreement with the paintball club Pirati a lunch can be prepared on the banks of the Cetina River. Then tourists continue there adventure playing paintball in a completely natural environment. The extraordinary paintball field situated next to the river, in the shadow, will give you an unforgettable experience.

Rafting on the Cetina river lasts between 3 and 4 hours and is organized on 9 km long part of the river, from the village of Penšići to the restaurant “Radmanove mlinice“.

It’s necessary to take your bathing suit with you, as well as sports shoes and sandals (it’s not recommended to go barefoot), a towel and clothes you are going to wear after rafting.

Before the start each group on the boat gets acquainted with their guide, who is going to give you all obligatory equipment, which includes helmet, safety waste coat and an oar.

The boats are for 8 or 6 persons.

On the starting (calm) part of the river your guide is going to teach you about behavior rules and basic rowing techniques. On the scale ranging from I to VI the river got the mark II to III and two extremely rough places are passed on foot.

Rafting on the Cetina river you’ll meet light and moderate water rapids, deep calm lakes, ideal for having a refreshment, banks covered with rich vegetation – making tunnels of branches, impressive rocks and caves.

Children older than 8 can take part in rafting only if accompanied by their parents.

If ordered, it is possible to organize a dinner in a local wine-cellar with home-made wine and gastronomical specialities of the ancient Principality of Poljica.
